The Red Crow Ashigaru is affiliated to the Red Crow Squadron, which used to be an air force unit from the Kaiho Defense Unit. After Operation Shadow Den, the unit was reformed into the Yamato Special Assault Unit, responsible for handling terrorist attacks. The Red Crow Squadron is deployed exclusively by the Cabinet, and with the consent of a second nation, it may undertake counter-terrorism missions abroad. However, its members are not considered legal soldiers, and are not allowed to carry out war-related missions.

赤鴉足輕隸屬的赤鴉中隊，前身是海堡自護隊的一個空軍團。在「影巢行動」後，正式改組成專責處理極端主義恐怖襲擊的特殊急襲部隊。赤鴉中隊僅受內閣調遣，如果得到第二國的同意，它也可以被派遣到他國執行任務。但是，赤鴉中隊成員不具備士兵合法地位，他們不能去執行與戰爭有關的任務。
