In the Niah Gray Zone, areas of coastal swamps and rainforests shrouded in volcanic mists year-round have become breeding grounds for a multitude of mutated, venomous creatures and fierce beasts. This desolate wilderness serves as a sanctuary for Omanga's opposing forces, hostile factions, and also provides opportunities for smugglers and unscrupulous merchants to evade border inspections and high transit taxes into the interior.
