維克人不是困坐圍城的消極民族，對於碉堡這種被動防禦工事，異想天空的賦予機動性和火力，使其具有主動佔領戰場中場的能力，因此跳脫了建築概念，誕生了城塔坦克這項兵器。如同巨石城塔、巨石堡壘這類自走防禦工事可以連結成機動防線。城塔坦克也能與被稱為「異動城」的機動要塞組合。但是單一異動城過於鈍重、欠缺移動效率和應用彈性。因此城塔坦克便成為輔助異動城的能動單位，平時可以成為城塔的基座，連結城牆，擴展異動城的規模和防護設施。必要時則能獨立運行，掩護異動城或離城追擊，活用履帶、二聯裝炮門和四座防衛機槍座來獨力戰鬥。由於城塔坦克也可再分離主城後，進行長程攻擊，所以駕駛的人員也穿戴幻古裝甲，必要時能下車行動，不過並未配備長程背包，還是需要依託坦克執行任務。世界之樹由於多半活動於地形崎嶇的地帶，並未配備鈍重的異動城。但是仍舊配備了城塔坦克用於輾過森林帶、提供機動火力。維克人的機動防禦工事蔚為奇觀，其中的城塔坦克更勇於進攻。

The Vecks are not a passive people sitting idly in walled cities. They have transcended traditional architectural concepts, turning passive defensive structures such as the pillbox into active offensive tools for occupying center stage on the battlefield.
As with other self-propelled fortifications, such as the Megalith Towers and Megalith Fortresses, Fortress Tanks can be linked together to form a mobile defensive line. The Fortress Tank can also be combined with Kinetopolises.
However, as a kinetopolis is too cumbersome and lacks mobility and operational flexibility, the Fortress Tank serves as a mobile unit in support of kinetopolises. It can serve as the base of towers and connect to city walls to expand the kinetopolis’ size and defensive capabilities. When necessary, it can operate independently, providing cover for the kinetopolis or pursuing targets away from the city, using tracks, dual-mounted cannon doors, and four defensive machine gun mounts for solo combat.
Because the Fortress Tank can detach from its parent city and engage in long-range attacks, personnel piloting it also wear Arche armor. They may even disembark when necessary, but as they are not equipped with long-range backpacks, they still rely on the tank to carry out their missions.
The Yggdrasill Legion operates mostly in rugged terrain and therefore does not make use of large and cumbersome kinetopolises. However, it deploys Fortress Tanks for traversing forested areas and providing mobile firepower.
The Vecks’ mobile defense fortifications are marvels to behold, and the Fortress Tank is especially bold in its offensive capabilities.

巨石城塔と巨石バンカーのような自走式防御ものと一緒に機動的な防衛線を結成できます。
城塔タンクも「異動城」と呼ばれた機動要塞と組み合わせることができます。
しかし異動城一基では重すぎて移動の効率と応用の柔軟性を欠けます。
それで城塔タンクは異動城を補佐する能動的ものになって、平時はお城の基礎として壁をつなげて、異動城の規模と防御施設を拡大します。必要の時は別々で運行できて、異動城をカバーし離れて攻撃に行くことも可能です。キャタピラと二連大砲、機関銃台座四つで戦うことができます。
城塔タンクはメイン城から分離して遠距離攻撃をすることができるので、操作者も幻古アーマー(アークアーマー)を装着します。必要の時、かれらはタンクから離れて行動できます。しかし長距離用のバックパックは装備されていないので、任務遂行には戦車に頼る必要があります。
ユグドラシルは険しい環境で活躍することが多いので、重すぎる異動城を配置されていません。しかし森地域を横断し、また機動的の戦力を提供するために城塔タンクを持たされます。
ベック人の機動防御工程がいつも人々を驚かすが、城塔タンクは特に攻撃に長けています。
