When they arrived at the Estancian Library, they found that the unit from the 88th had almost been totally wiped out. Bob was left with a terrible choice: organize an immediate retreat and give up the Estancian Library relics to the Omangans, or ask the remaining troops from the 88th to defend them as they secured the Library’s relics. The unit – which Bob honorarily named the Alhagi Bucks – was put under the command of Bob’s most trusted lieutenant, King. King knew that it was pointless to think that they could defeat the Omangans – they were outnumbered and outgunned, the enemy having come with several SAs – so King organized the Alhagis to take up defensive positions and prepare for the assault. They didn’t win the ensuing battle. In fact, King was one of the last to retreat – almost all of the Alhagis were wiped out. But their sacrifice caused the Omangans to lose the one thing they couldn’t afford – time.
