People in this world have become accustomed to using various types of machinery to improve their quality of life. The rapid advancement of technology has also led to the emergence of a huge amount of discarded waste, and various recycling companies have sprung up (ironically) like mushrooms after rain.

Some of the staff of Mechanical Reincarnation Corporation will keep some reusable waste for the convenience of their daily routine; many of them are responsible for on-site recycling. Two of these young employees have a chip on their shoulders, and have taken to calling themselves Neo and Cypher, the Trash Knights. They installed robotic arms onto a recycling carrier spacecraft machine and increased its capabilities beyond ordinary human limits, and in so doing made their own “steward”: loading an artificial intelligence program – number 2EU5 – to act as their personal robotic butler.

What these two Trash Knights don’t realize is that, by some twist of fate, it is 2EU5 who will go on to change the world.

機械轉生公司（Mechanical Reincarnation Corporation）的部分工作人員會將一些可繼續使用的廢棄品留為己用，其中不少負責到現場回收的廢品騎士，會根據個人喜好或為了提高工作效率、減輕工作負擔而將回收運載飛船進行改造。

廢品騎士尼奧和賽弗為他們駕駛的回收運載飛船安裝機械手臂和加大載重能力，並將一個回收來的「管家」人工智能系統加載至飛船，以完成他們心目中的「最佳拍檔」。但他們還不知道，為了方便日常工作而親手改造出來的宙斯，正在改變着很多事情的原有方向。
